Restaurant Oxte In Paris: The Best Authentic Mexican-Influenced Cuisine
Scott and I had the pleasure of dining at Oxte, a restaurant in Paris that offers a unique fusion of French and Mexican cuisine on a single plate. Though the combination may seem uncommon, it was truly fantastic and delicious. We were thrilled to try something new, so we reserved a table at this quaint establishment without hesitation. We both loved it and enjoyed every part of the experience!
A Little About The Restaurant
Oxte is a contemporary restaurant located near the Arc de Triomphe in the Étoile neighborhood of Paris. It’s known for its bold Mexican-inspired flavors and was founded by Chef Enrique Casarrubias in 2018. In just three years, the restaurant earned its first Michelin Star. The decor of the restaurant was Mexican-inspired with tones of orange, gold, black, blue, brown, and taupe. The decor was minimal and included live potted plants.
The far back corner of the restaurant has a small glimpse of an open kitchen which may be visible depending on where you are seated. I find it entertaining to see what goes on behind the scenes. It adds to the ambiance of the restaurant and adds a unique perspective.

Dining Experience
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect before arriving at the restaurant, but the dishes exceeded my expectations. They were delicious, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. Our table was located at the back of the restaurant, near the kitchen. It was a treat to observe the chefs working together to add the final touches to each plate before sending them out to the tables. After finishing our meal, Chef Casarrubias made a point to visit each table and express his gratitude to every guest.
Final Thoughts
Overall, our dining experience was excellent! The restaurant was charming and the service was superb! Scott and I had a great time trying out the one-of-a-kind blend of French and Mexican cuisine. If you’re looking for unique cuisine to try in Paris, this is well worth it. Trust me!
